Em C G D Em C D Em C G D Em C D

G
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
              Em
You get your fill to eat, but always keep that hunger
         C
May you never take one single breath for granted
        D style='font-size:1px;color:#ffffff;'>
God forbid love ever leave you empty-handedstyle='font-size:1px;color:#ffffff;'>

            C D style='font-size:1px;color:#ffffff;'> G
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
          C D style='font-size:1px;color:#ffffff;'> G
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
        Am G C
Promise me that you'll give fate the fighting chance
                                               D
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

             Em C G D
I hope you dance
             Em C D
I hope you dance

            G
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
        Em
Never settle for the path of least resistance
         C
Living might mean taking chances, but they're worth taking
         D
Loving might be a mistake, but it's worth making
       C D style='font-size:1px;color:#ffffff;'> G
Don't let some hell-bent heart leave you bitter
                C D style='font-size:1px;color:#ffffff;'> G
When you come close to selling out reconsider
          Am G C
Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance
                                               D
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

             Em C G D Em C D
I hope you dance I hope you dance
             Em C G D Em C D
I hope you dance I hope you dance

             C D style='font-size:1px;color:#ffffff;'> G
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
          C D style='font-size:1px;color:#ffffff;'> G
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
        Am G C
Promise me that you'll give fate the fighting chance
                                               D
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

  Em C G D Em C D

athena- the chords will stay the same with out the capo, u just move them all up. but the song is meant to be played with a capo so its goin to sound much lower, not like the original song.

Great Job :0) I'm playing just as transcribed but without the capo and it is in a great key for me! Thanks!

what is the guy singing in the background?
-Firestorm | 11/7/2005
its drew womack (from the old 'sons of the desert' days) singing
"time is a wheel in constant motion, always, rolling us along
tell me who, wants to look back on their years and wonder, where those years have gone"
