This tab has been submitted under Clint Eastwood and Marty
Robbins, but it is a great song I had looked for and
couldn't find it because I did not realize they had done it,
until I watched the Clint Eastwood Movie the other day.
Anyway I thought I would put Merle's version up here for
those who did not know the others had done it. This is NOT
meant to be a replacement, or to challenge the accuracy of
the other tabs, they would be more likely to be accurate
than mine, Merle just does it in a different key than the
other two and since I had it tabbed before I realized the
other two were here, I thought I'd post it.

Album: Chicago Wind
C Em
I've never seen you look quite so sad
F C
I've never felt me feel quite so bad
F C Em Am
And I know we both feel that we have been had
D7 G
I guess we were just not that strong
F C Em Am
I lost my woman and you lost your man
F C Em
Who knows who's right and who's wrong
F C Em Am
But I've still got my guitar and I've got a plan
F C G CF
Throw your arms around this honky tonk man
Chorus:
F C
Throw your arms 'round this honky tonk man
F F
And we'll get through this night the best way we can
F C Em Am
It's the best ol' pain killer since hurtin began
C G C
Throw your arms around this honky tonk man
I miss that woman and you miss him too
But there's not a hell of alot we can do
But cling to each other till the hurtin is through
But the hurt can only last just so long
You be my woman, I'll be your man
Even if just for a while
I still got my guitar and I've got a plan
Throw your arms around this honkytonk man
Chorus
