NICE!!!!! I have always loved this song. Now I know how badly I was butchering it. I was close though. -whistlestop_son | 2/25/2003 |
What is "Eo7" ? -tyler1501 | 8/27/2005 |
has anyone ever tabbed this out keyed in G like it is played by merle haggard. I had never heard of it being played in e until i visited this site to check something out for the g keyed version. However i can't find it anywhere tabbed out in G. -agr472 | 9/12/2005 |
Merle has always did this song in E that I know of. I do know for a fact that the original version is in E. I have never heard him do it in G though. It would not be very difficult to change this tab over to G anyhow.
And can anyone tell me how to play the chord Eo7. It is found in the line "Don't leave me I cry; Don't take that airplane ride" -tyler1501 | 9/16/2005 |
Capo 1, it's in key of F -tyler wessel | 10/24/2005 |
Actually, On Merl Haggard 16 Greatest Hits, this is played in E.
However, when performing Merl was usually tuned down a half step playing it in F# or as it would appear a "G" chord, if this makes any sense. If played correctly on an acoustic you should be quick changing E E/A as in Willies, Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain. Check it out and play along with the above record. Excellent. -diverden | 5/19/2008 |
This is what I play where they wrote Eo7
