Not a corection really, but to really emphasise when he says "Dead - or - alive", instead of a strait F then D, try going: Dead or a - live 1-----1-----1-----2 1-----1-----1-----3 0-----2-----2-----2 0-----0-----3-----0 3-----3-----3-----0 1-----1-----1-----x
Progressivly making the F more complete really boosts the lyrics. -Metroplex | 9/17/2002 | This is definitely Bon Jovi - did MG record a version of it somewhere? -tuton | 10/2/2003 | Maybe Try This... D,Cadd9,G,Cadd9,G,F,D. In Standard Tuning..Just a Thought.. This is How I usally Play It.. I play it from Bon Jovis Recording, So it might be Different Than Montgomery Gentrys Version. -tattoo30 | 12/17/2003 | 1986 by bon jovi... i think it was for one of those "young guns" movies... (1 or 2) -Demon646 | 6/7/2004 | tatto, your 100 percent right ive played this live for years and thats how you play it brother -ronbo | 8/9/2004 | it was originally on the "slippery when wet" album then i think it was added to the young guns soundtrack -huntercp | 8/16/2004 | It has also been on Bon Jovi's Cross roads album along with on there live album and was remaid for there This Left Feels Right Album. -pyrojohn916 | 8/21/2004 | This was NOT in a "Young Guns" movie. The Bon Jovi song you are thinking of is "Blaze of Glory" which in many ways is similar to this song. And I also play in standard tuning using a Cadd9 instead of a C because it is more like Bon Jovi's and Chris Cagle's versions. -tpmadden | 4/9/2009 |
