If it (D) were (G) me

(C) (D)

The (G) stuff he tries to (C) sell her no(Em)body buys for (D) long
(C) She deserves much (G) better than the (C) crumbs he throws her (G) way
I (Am) think it's time some(C)body set him str(Dsus)aight (D)

If it (C) were (G) me I'd be (C) thanking my lucky (D) stars

She'd (Em) never ever (Bm) wonder what true love (C) means
If it (D) were (G) me (D)

Some(Em)day she's gonna (Bm) realize she's (C) worth a whole lot (G) more
(F) I'll be right there waiting at her (Dsus) door (D)

If it (C) were (G) me I'd be (C) thanking my lucky (D) stars
If it (C) were (G) me I'd be (C) holding her in my (D) arms
She'd (Em) never ever (Bm) wonder what true love (C) means
If it (D) were (G) me (D) (G) (D)

If it (D) were (G) me (D) (G) (D)

Sorry man, but this isn't anywhere near how it's played.
I'll try to find some time to put up the correct version.
It's not standard chords, it's way up on the 7th fret,
wierd chords. The chords are: (Listen for timing)

Verse:

x07907

x07990
x07900
x77900

Chorus:

079900
024400
002200
024400

Verse 2 Beginning:
(Don't have my guitar here, so not completely sure)
|---------------------------
|---------------------------
|4/6-6-6--4-4/6-6-6--6-6-4~-
|4/6-6-6--4-4/6-6-6--6-6-4~-
|2/4-4-4--2-2/4-4-4--4-4-2~-
|---------------------------

Chords I play for the solo when doing it all accoustic:

E A D G B E
0 7 9 9 0 0 slide up to

0 10 12 12 0 0 slide down to

0 2 4 4 0 0 and SLOWLY slide back up to

0 7 9 9 0 0 which starts the last chorus.
