A G D
I came to Cali on a highway from Nashville
A G D
It’s all a gamble for the fortune and the fame
A G D
My education came from reading the road signs
A G D
Just another fool who got lost in the game
        G F D
And I’m going back again
            G F D
‘Cause it’s blowing in the wind
                   E
That’s carryin’ me home

Chorus:
             D
Oh, southern comfort
               A
Don’t leave me low
             D
Oh, southern comfort
                 A G D
Keeps calling me home

Solo

And all these actors, man, they’re living in castles
And with the earthquakes they’ll all sink in the sea
Who makes a living off of heartbreaks and hassles?
And scientologists make no sense to me
So, I’m going back again
‘Cause it’s blowing like the wind
That’s carryin’ me home

Chorus

Thanks Larry, I really like this song, I'm working on the slide intro, and was wondering if there is a key change 1/2 way through before the solo? ~Erik

Very nice...the only thing...I think I hear an A at the very beginning of the chorus...(between the last E in the verse and the D on "Comfort.."

FYI--this song was originally a really rockin' song that shooter did when he was in Stargunn. Being a rocker and country fan myself, I really dug the upbeat rockin' version of this song. however, the awesome feel of the country version is hard to beat
