Shooter Jennings - Sunset Blvd. as performed by Stargunn.
Original by: Charlie Robison
Tabbed by Big Roid
Stargunn was a hard rock band formed by Shooter Jennings in Los Angeles in 1997.
Jennings performed lead vocals and played piano. The band broke up on March 30, 2003.

These are the chords but I can't find the name for them. I just know this is
what they are and in that key. If you do some pickin on the chorus it sounds
good. The only thing off is prolly the solo when it hit the A not to much
though.

     G C G/B
E A D g b e E A D g b e E A D g b e
3 2 o o 3 3 o 3 2 o 3 3 0 2 o o 3 3

Intro (D, G, D, G, D, G, D, G)

D G
Now I wish I had my picture
D G
on the Rolling Stone today
D G
and I wish that the Enquirer
D G
would spread a rumor that I was gay
D G
and I wish I had some buddies
D G
Some movie stars and such
 D G
Cause I probably wouldn't worry about
D G
The two of us as much

No, no
(Chorus)
G A
And I'd spend all my money, yeah yeah
D C G/B G
on Caviar and Cocaine
G A
and I would not remember
          Bm A D
How you broke my heart today

Oh yeah
D G
You know I, I wish I had a supermodel
D G
So skinny and so wild
D G
and a waitress in Nevada
D G
She says she's carrying my child
D G
and I'd drive down Sunset Boulevard
D G
My hair blowin in the wind
D G
And I'd stop at fancy restaurants
D G
And they'd finally let me in

Ooo yeah
G A
And I'd spend all my money, yeah yeah
D C G/B G
On Caviar and Cocaine
G A
And I would not remember
         Bm A D
How you broke my heart today

 D G

 D G
With the Rolling Stones today
 D G
And I wish that the Enquirer
D G
would spread a rumor that I was gay
D G
Now I wish I knew a movie star
D G
Someone like Charlie Sheen
D G
Cause if he'd hang out with Kato Kalin
                   D G
Ooo, Then I guess he'd hang out with me

Oh yeah

D C G/B G

first of all, this is a charlie robison song, but maybe shooter did live because it's not on his new cd. If he did happen to do it live, please share where i can get a recording of it.

I got it from a file shareing program like Kazza lite or Shareaza. I don't beleive it's a live song. I also have some live songs from when he played at cbgb's this month.

Shooter recorded this with his old band Stargunn. I don't believe it was ever released, but the album is called "The only way up is down." It is also floating around on a Stargunn live bootleg.

Does anyone have any input on the song? The chorus doesn't sound right to me.

Thanks Freebird 134. I've been trying to figure out when he recorded this song forever now. Charlie Robison's version is great, but Shooter's is awesome in a different way. You have to hear the difference to appreciate it. You can find it on Stargunn's Myspace page if anyone wants to hear it.
