does anyone know the harmonics he does after the chorus?
-garrettwelch | 4/21/2009
I believe it's straight down the 13th fret...

Playing in "C" with a capo 1 is a way you can play the song and it will sound just fine. The actually way the band does it (as with chicken fried and probably all thier songs) is tune down 1/2 step. If you do that you play in "D" no capo. That is the only way you will be able to do the correct harmonics. Also the 4th line in the chorus is just F and G and there is no Am G/B at the end of the verse. Sounds good otherwise though

So, I tuned down my guitar and figured out the harmonics. They are:

-------------------------------12----------------------------------------
------------------7-------------------------------------------------------
----------7-------------------------------7-------------------------------
---7-------------------------------------------------------7--------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember, the guitar must be tuned down 1/2 step, NO CAPO!!!! to sound like the recording.

I have played this song tuned down a half step with a capo 2 and it sounds good to me. Try playing the following chord progression:

C-Bm-G-A-G-Em-F-G-C-F-G

I think it sounds better as it follows the bass line more.
